Argentina's drug regulator, ANMAT, banned the sale, import, distribution and advertising of e-cigarettes, including devices and cartridges, under Order 3226/2011, according to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids' legal database.

Because importing is banned, a vape in your luggage could be confiscated. The safe choice is to leave it at home.

That database entry was last updated in 2020, so check with the nearest Argentine consulate before you travel.

Airline Policies for Flying With Vape Pens

The flight is the easy part. Airlines allow vape pens in carry-on bags or on your person, never in checked luggage.

The FAA says vapes must stay in the cabin and must never be used or charged on the aircraft.

The TSA adds that each lithium-ion battery must be 100 watt-hours or less, and you must stop the device from switching on by accident.
