Yes, you can fly to Guyana with a vape pen, as long as it travels in your carry-on bag or on your person.

What you can't do is use it. Vaping is banned on commercial flights, and the FAA calls it dangerous and a federal offense on US flights.

You also can't charge your vape on board. Some airports have smoking areas where vaping is allowed, but rules vary, so follow the signs.

What You Can Bring Along

The TSA allows vapes in carry-on bags only, with lithium ion batteries of 100 Wh or less. Spare batteries must also go in your carry-on, with the terminals covered.

Nicotine e-liquid is allowed in the cabin. Bottles must be 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less and go in your quart-sized liquids bag.

Never pack cannabis, THC or CBD products. Many countries treat them as illegal drugs.

Allowed In Checked Luggage?

No. Vapes and spare lithium batteries are banned from checked luggage, because they are a fire risk in the cargo hold.

If your carry-on is checked at the gate, take your vape and spare batteries out and keep them with you.

Guyana's Tobacco Control Act

We could not find a law in Guyana that bans vape pens for adults.

Guyana's Tobacco Control Act 2017 bans smoking in indoor public places, workplaces and vehicles. Guyana's government says the fine is G$10,000 for a first offense and G$20,000 after that.

Public Use

Don't vape where smoking is banned, and ask before you vape in hotels, restaurants or taxis.

Liquids: keep e-liquid bottles at 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less, in your liquids bag. Pressure changes can make tanks leak, so carry them empty or in a sealed bag.
No vaping on board: don't use or charge your vape on the plane.
Check every stop: airlines can limit how many devices you carry, and the rules of any country where you change planes also apply.
