Can you bring your vape pen to Albania? Here are the flight rules, Albania's e-cigarette laws, and tips for flying safely with a vape pen.

Can You Fly With a Vape Pen To Albania?
Vaping in the Air
Yes, you can fly with a vape pen, as long as it travels in your carry-on bag or on your person.
What you can't do is use it. Vaping is banned on commercial flights, and the FAA calls it dangerous and a federal offense on US flights.
You also can't charge your vape on board. Some airports have smoking areas where vaping is allowed, but rules vary, so ask staff or follow the signs.
What You Can Bring Along
The TSA allows vapes in carry-on bags, with lithium ion batteries of 100 Wh or less. Spare batteries must also go in your carry-on, with the terminals covered.
Nicotine e-liquid is allowed in the cabin. Bottles must be 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less and go in your quart-sized liquids bag.
Never pack cannabis or THC products.
Allowed In Checked Luggage?
No. Vapes and spare lithium batteries are banned from checked luggage on US flights, because they are a fire risk in the cargo hold.
Airlines outside the US apply similar rules, but check with each airline on your route. If your carry-on is checked at the gate, take your vape and spare batteries out and keep them with you.

Are Vape Pens Illegal in Albania?
Vaporizing Devices and Laws
No. Albania allows the sale of e-cigarettes, subject to regulation under its tobacco law (Law No. 9636), according to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids' legal database.
The law caps nicotine at 20 mg/ml. Refill bottles can hold up to 10 ml, and disposables up to 2 ml.
Selling e-cigarettes online, by post or from vending machines is banned. We found no rule against bringing your own device for personal use, but bring only what you need and check with the Albanian embassy if you are unsure.
Public Use Regulations
Albania's smoking ban covers e-cigarettes. You can't vape in indoor public places, workplaces or on public transport.
Ask before you vape in hotels, restaurants or taxis.
Age Restrictions
You must be 18 or older to buy e-cigarettes in Albania.
Vapes are for adults only. In the US, federal law bans selling e-cigarettes to anyone under 21.

Tips for Bringing a Vape Pen on a Plane
With a bit of preparation, flying with a vape pen is simple. Here are some tips:
- Research TSA Regulations:
Check the TSA rules before you fly. Airlines can add their own limits, such as how many devices you can carry, so check those too.
Also check the rules for any country where you change planes.
- Keep Your Device Securely Stored: Keep your vape in a case, switched off or locked, so the button can't be pressed in your bag. Store spare batteries in a battery case.
- Know That You Can't Vape Onboard: There are no vaping areas on commercial flights. Wait until you are off the plane and in a place where vaping is allowed.
